DWCNewsline No. 01-10: Division of Workers' Compensation announces stakeholder meeting to discuss benefit notice regulations

The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) has scheduled a stakeholder meeting to discuss revisions to the benefit notice regulations and issues related to advising injured workers who do not have permanent disability that their claim has been closed. Benefit notices are required by Labor Code sections 138.4, and 4061 and California Code of Regulations, title 8, sections 9810 et seq. The meeting will be held:

Date: Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Place: Elihu M. Harris State Office Building – Room 2
1515 Clay Street, Oakland, CA 94612 

The division is interested in hearing comments, suggestions, and options regarding this specific benefit notice issue from interested parties at the stakeholder meeting.
